statement:

"my visual response to this song and lyrics revolved heavily around nostalgia and the idea of a ‘golden’ childhood. I wanted to collage together shrines to the past that are playful, but also sort of strange.i find it kind of funny to think toys or sweets might have been handed to us as a distraction or last resort or time playing outside in the mud was really a parent’s only alone time, yet our young minds had the astonishing capacity to build entire adventures out of it all. i think the more critical distance we gain, the easier it is to realise how weird or imperfect things might have been, but the nostalgia allows us to be charmed and endeared."
